Every so often, a product comes along that is so good, so much better than what you had used before, that you wonder how you ever got along without it. The Dog Gone Smart products, including beds, crate pads and more for dogs and cats are one of these great products.
So why are they so good? Here are a few reasons:
• they’re really durable
• it’s very hard to get them dirty, but when they do, they are very easy to clean
• they don’t get stinky
• dog and cat hair doesn’t stick to them very well
Dog Gone Smart products use advanced technology that give these results. Technology, you wonder? In a pet bed? What’s that about?

It’s called “nanotechnology”, which in the case of Dog Gone is a patented process called “NanoSphereTM”. It’s really about dealing with materials at the molecular level. If you could take a cross section of a human hair, you would be able to fit about 10,000 nano-particles on it. That’s pretty small. The fabrics are impregnated with these particles, forming an ultra smooth and non-stick finish. The process actually mimics the leaves of certain plants, like the lotus leaf, which grows out of mud but is always clean. Nothing sticks to it, and in the same way, nothing sticks to the Dog Gone Products. Pour water on one and it just runs off. They don’t collect odours because the natural oils from your cat or dog (which attract odour causing bacteria) don’t stick very well.
When you do need to clean them, just throw them in your machine on warm, and then dry on high. Simple. And between washings, dog and cat hair can easily be brushed or vacuumed off.
Dog Gone Beds and Crate Pads and other products are available in a wide range of styles, sizes, and colours. Have a look at them, ask for a demonstration of their water repellency, and try one out. You’ll be glad you did.
